Album Cover Artwork - Intimacy

Had the pleasure of working on another album cover for Lofi Records. This time it was for the album Intimacy by Jorrit Brodersen.

Album covers are one of my favourite projects to work on, as I love to capture the mood of the tunes that the artists created. For this one, Jorrit wanted to convey the warm and intimate feeling of two people in love sharing a living space and capturing their different moments together in a single painting.

It's good to know the feeling you want to convey through your artwork at the beginning, this way, I immediately knew that I wanted warm earth toned colours. I also wanted the composition to feel closed in, like we are inside their apartment with them, but to not make it claustrophobic.

Telling these kinds of stories through art is why I love being an illustrator so much. Here's to hoping that I get many more projects like that in the future!
